Issued in a limited edition of 2,000 numbered copies and encased in a cloth-covered and ribbon-bound box, this facsimile of The Prints of Paul Klee presents 40 etchings and lithographs from MoMA's collection produced by Klee (1879-1940) from 1903 to 1931, each work reproduced on a separate sheet of heavy card stock; includes a 48-page booklet with an essay by James Thrall Soby, chairman of MoMA's Department of Painting and Sculpture at the time of the portfolio's original publication by the Museum in 1947, and a new text by Christophe Cherix, MoMA's Chief Curator of Prints and Illustrated Books.
