This highly pictorial publication documents an unusual project by German-born artist Holler (b. 1961) that involved creating a real London nightclub -- initially conceived as the Prada Congo Club but ultimately called The Double Club -- that operated for several months between 2008 and 2009 as a showcase for the best of Congolese and Western music, food and drink (with separate zones devoted to each culture), featuring numerous snapshots of clubbers and staff, photographs of the construction and demolition of the club, and various sketches, drawings, charts and diagrams documenting the design evolution of this "human experiment."
