Presents 145 highlights from an exceptional and previously unpublished collection of American and English painting, drawings and decorative arts amassed by Julian Wood Glass, Jr. (1910-1992), which is housed largely in his 18th-century ancestral home now known as the Glen Burnie Historic House (part of the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley complex), including canvases and works on paper by Bonheur, Bonington, Constable, Copley, Chase, Cropsey, Gainsborough, Landseer, Reynolds, Romney and West; many fine examples of furniture including case clocks, side chairs, sofas and bookcases; and a small selection of silver and ceramics.
