Examines the development of children's book illustration in Austria in the late 19th and early 20th century, presenting nearly 100 objects that include mass-produced books illustrated by anonymous artists as well as works by such notable illustrators as Koloman Moser and Richard Rothe, whose work for the publications "Jugendschatz: Deutsche Dichtungen" (1897) and "Das Marlein vom Wunderscherlein" (1926), respectively, inspired the title of the exhibition. Contrary to its imprint, this book was not distributed by D.A.P./Distributed Art Publishers.
