FOR THE BLIND MAN IN THE DARK ROOM LOOKING FOR THE BLACK CAT THAT ISN'T THERE. Contemporary Art Museum, St. Louis, 2009. Published in association with Fundacao Caixa Geral de Depositos-Culturgest, Lisbon. Distributed by D.A.P./Distributed Art Publishers, New York. 156 pp. with 67 ills. (2 col.) and 15 loose plates. 35 x 22 cm. ISBN 9780977752867 In English.
Though not specifically documenting the show, this unusually formatted publication (more an artist's book than a catalogue) accompanied a traveling exhibition of the same name that examined intellectual curiosity and the pursuit of knowledge as revealed in conceptually based works by such artists as Rachel Harrison, Matt Mullican, Bruno Munari and Rosemarie Trockel, presenting a seemingly disjointed assortment of images along with aphorisms, cryptic philosophical excerpts and other fragmentary texts.
