Documenting a series of photographs created in the mid-1980s by American conceptual artist Allan Sekula (b. 1951) to critique the relationship of the exploitation of Canada's natural resources to the distribution of wealth in the country, this catalogue includes two critical essays, a text by Sekula outlining the political context of the project, and reproductions of 72 photographs included in the installation, many of them depicting the Bank of Canada in Ottawa and the mining community in Sudbury, Ontario.
