Surveying the individualistic oeuvre of prominent Argentine conceptual artist Grippo (b. 1936), this catalogue highlights sculptural objects and installations created from 1971 to 1995 that include many pieces featuring laboratory-like displays of potatoes and scientific instruments designed to illuminate analogies between artistic production and the processes of nature. An anthology of brief texts by Grippo and four essays discussing his aesthetic, cultural and existential concerns are accompanied by a selectively illustrated inventory of 104 works produced by the artist from 1957 to 1994.
