Accompanying an exhibition designed to highlight the theme of "the here and now" in contemporary art while also exploring the dynamics of artistic collaboration, this predominantly textual catalogue documents works jointly created or displayed by seven Austrian artists and the seven international figures they invited to participate in the show, which included an installation of chaises longues and newspapered walls by Franz West and Bizhan Bassiri, a neon-illuminated display of expressionistic paintings created by Albert Oehlen and Heimo Zobernig, and video pieces by Svetlana Kopystiansky and Peter Kogler. Critical profiles of the featured artists supplement three essays discussing issues of internationalism and contemporaneity in current art.
