Documenting a 1993 project in which eight ethnically diverse Los Angeles-area youths were invited by the Institute to produce photographs of personal "landmarks" in their own neighborhoods and throughout the city, this catalogue presents three brief essays, statements by the participants, and reproductions of photographs that range from depictions of the Santa Monica Pier and Hollywood Boulevard to images of highway overpasses, earthquake-damaged buildings, and a graffiti-covered tunnel used as a shelter by the homeless.
