Surveying recent works by two Soviet-born artists based in New York since 1988 whose conceptually oriented oeuvres are centered on the deconstruction and objectification of language and art, this catalogue set presents pictorial documentation of installations and sculptural pieces by Svetlana Kopystiansky (b. 1950) composed primarily of books along with illustrations of diverse works by her husband Igor (b. 1954) incorporating copies of Old Master canvases that have been variously torn, crumpled and shaped to form sculptures, chair coverings or wallpaper.
