Presents a selection of 35 provocative drawings, sculptures, paintings and photographs produced from 1988 to 1993 by British artists Helen Chadwick, Rachel Evans and Dorothy Cross and American artists Nicole Eisenman, Nan Goldin and Sue Williams, including visceral, cartoon-like images of sexual violence, ironically romantic depictions of heterosexual and lesbian couples, and symbolic objects created from cow udders, pig intestines or lambs' tongues. Two critical essays examine the featured artists' explorations of gender and sexuality in relation to the evolution of feminist attitudes since the 1970s.
