Presents more than 100 color woodblock prints produced between 1919 and 1939 by British artist Keith (1887-1956), a self-trained painter who mastered traditional Japanese printmaking techniques during her extensive travels in the Far East. Constituting a catalogue raisonne of Keith's printed oeuvre, which includes numerous portraits and scenes of daily life in Japan and China as well as a suite of 62 lithographic caricatures, the volume features fine reproductions and an essay describing the artist's independent career and the international recognition her work received during the 1930s.
