Brightly colored roof-shaped hats, necklaces in the form of picture frames, and brooches made of postcards, thumbtacks or wallpaper are among the 40 provocative objects highlighted in this catalogue of works of the 1980s by Swiss-born German artist Kunzli (b. 1948), whose approach to jewelry design melds conceptual, sculptural, photographic and purely decorative elements. A brief introductory essay describing the artist's innovative reworkings of traditional jewelry forms is supplemented by commentaries on many of the exhibited pieces.
