Illustrates 64 colorful designs (many of them previously unpublished) for Arts and Crafts-style wallpapers and textiles produced from the late 1880s to the early 1930s by noted British domestic architect Charles Francis Annesley Voysey (1857-1941). An extensive biographical essay traces Voysey's background and career, discussing the international popularity of his architectural and decorative designs during the 1890s, the dissemination of his ideas through such fashionable art magazines as The Studio, and his characteristic use of simple forms and naturalistic flora and fauna motifs.
