This chiefly pictorial publication accompanies the first substantial exhibition of the work of Hungarian-born photojournalist Plachy, a regular contributor to the Village Voice whose variously surreal and compassionate images document everyday life in the United States, South America and Europe. Many of the photographs bear thematic and stylistic affinities with the work of Robert Frank, Diane Arbus, and Plachy's mentor, Andre Kertesz.
