Surveying the concept-based work of New York artist Gober (b. 1954), this catalogue features an illustrated inventory of his sculptural oeuvre of the 1980s, which mainly comprises handcrafted recreations of such objects as sinks, urinals and cribs. Photographs documenting the artist's repeated transformations of a painting are included along with three critical texts discussing appropriation and representation in his work and its relationship to Duchamp's ready-mades and Minimal art.
