Documenting collaborative projects by emerging artists and architects from eleven Northern European cities (Reykjavik, Dublin, Edinburgh, Leeuwarden, Hamburg, Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Gdansk, Tallinn and Helsinki), this catalogue surveys innovative indoor pavilions that were designed to display the paintings, sculptures and mixed-media installations included in the show. Reproductions of the primarily postmodern art works along with photographs, models and drawings of the pavilions are accompanied by statements by the architects and artists and by informal texts describing the cultural ambience of each city.
