Presents fine pictorial documentation of the only remaining set of codices from the Sacristy of the Sistine Chapel, comprising 40 illuminated manuscripts dating from the 11th to the 18th century that were rescued from the Vatican ahead of Napoleon's raiding armies and brought to Toledo, Spain, where they remained in obscurity for some 200 years until their rediscovery in the late 1990s.
