Presenting works drawn chiefly from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, this catalogue documents 30 paintings by Monet along with some 20 paintings and other works by such figures as Boudin, Cezanne, Corot, Courbet, Degas, Manet, Millet, Pissarro, Renoir and Sisley, as well as five prints by Utagawa Hiroshige that illustrate the influence of Japanese art on the Impressionists. Contrary to its imprint, this publication was not distributed by Yale University Press.
