Documents a major exhibition that re-assembled and interpreted hundreds of objects that were formerly part of the vast collections of Horace Walpole (1717-1797) at Strawberry Hill, his celebrated Gothic Revival house in Twickenham, including rare books and manuscripts, paintings, prints, drawings, arms and armor, furniture, ceramics and other diverse objects that were widely dispersed after the contents of the house were auctioned by an heir in 1842.
