Reviewing the accomplishments of a San Francisco-based architecture collective whose visionary oeuvre encompassed video, performance and installation art as well as radical architectural projects, this catalogue includes three critical essays, an extensive illustrated chronology of Ant Farm's activities over the course of its existence from 1968 to 1978, a recent interview with group members Chip Lord, Doug Michels and Curtis Schreier, and pictorial documentation of many of the collective's works, which range from inflatable structures and experimental mobile environments to an installation composed of ten Cadillacs buried nose down on a ranch in Texas.
