Examining the singular oeuvre of a British family of artists best known for their meticulously crafted cast-fiberglass reliefs replicating randomly selected sections of the earth's surface, this catalogue features three critical essays along with illustrations of more than 70 works by Mark Boyle (b. 1934), Joan Hills (b. 1931) and their children Sebastian (b. 1962) and Georgia (b. 1963), including performance pieces, sound and light projections, found-object assemblages and electron microscope photographs of human skin and hair dating from the 1960s and 70s as well as many of their trademark "earth sections" produced over the past four decades.
