Highlighting works on paper by artists active in 16th-century Cremona, this substantial catalogue presents eleven essays focused chiefly on the careers of Cremonese painters Antonio Maria Viani and Giulio Campi along with fine reproductions and scholarly discussions of some 270 drawings and twelve paintings assembled largely from Czech public collections, the sheets including many preparatory studies for altarpieces and frescoes by Viani and Campi.
