An extensive text tracing Vantongerloo's career is accompanied in the catalogue by illustrations of some 50 sculptures and more than 100 paintings, drawings, architectural models and other works produced by the artist from 1911 to 1960, including early portrait busts and Neo-Impressionist figure studies, pioneering geometric abstract paintings and constructions, and a selection of late lyrical oils and curvilinear plastic rod sculptures.
