Offering a substantial review of the singular body of work produced over the past three decades by New York-based Spanish artist Antoni Miralda (b. 1942), this catalogue presents three critical essays focusng on the international cultural and political themes central to his oeuvre along with fine pictorial documentation of more than 120 sculptural assemblages, public installations and performance-related projects that range from plaster casts of classical sculptures encrusted with dense formations of toy soldiers to elaborately staged participatory "rituals" variously featuring large processions and banquets of brightly dyed food.
