Thoroughly surveys the career of noted French artist Favier (b. 1957), whose individualistic oeuvre ranges from intricate wall-mounted arrangements of miniature cutout figures to glowing "micro-climates" composed of collaged images on painted glass panels and evocative small-scale enamels on glass depicting obscure interiors. Fine reproductions of some 120 works dating from 1980 to 1995 are accompanied by two essays and a detailed biographical chronology incorporating numerous critical commentaries.
