Accompanying an expanded version of the Brooklyn Museum's 1994 exhibition devoted to works produced by Bourgeois from 1982 to 1993 (Worldwide 24470), this catalogue presents four concise critical essays and an interview with the artist along with illustrations of some 85 sculptures and more than 40 works on paper spanning the career of the renowned French-born American sculptor (b. 1911), including many totemic wood figures and biomorphic pieces in stone and bronze dating from the 1940s through the 1970s as well as recent carvings, castings and assemblages previously featured in the Brooklyn show.
