Surveys the broad spectrum of Futurist works created by Fortunato Depero (1892-1960) during the early decades of his career, presenting fine illustrations of brightly colored mechanistic paintings of flora, fauna and human figures, inventive stage and costume designs, and numerous posters, tapestries, toys and other pieces produced at the Casa d'Arte Futurista, the commercial firm he established in Rovereto in 1919. Commentaries on many of the featured works augment three essays discussing Depero's distinctive interpretation of Futurist principles, his involvement with the theater, and the history of the Casa d'Arte.
