LC 94-169861 ISBN 2870095422 Trilingual in French, English and German (prefatory texts in French, English or German only; biographical notes and checklist of projects in French only).
Surveys innovative structures designed from 1980 to 1992 by French architects Francoise-Helene Jourda (b. 1955) and Gilles Perraudin (b. 1949), featuring photographs, drawings and models of completed and unrealized structures that include university complexes, private residences, bridges, a subway station and a pyramidal concert hall. Prefaced by a brief essay summarizing the rationalist principles underlying the architects' international oeuvre, the catalogue presents good pictorial documentation and concise descriptions of nearly 40 projects, many of them incorporating dramatically unconventional structural systems and roof designs.
