Surveys the elegantly functional works of noted Austrian-born American ceramists Gertrud (1908-1971) and Otto Natzler (b. 1908), presenting some 80 bowls, vases and other pieces collaboratively produced by the artists over the course of more than three decades along with a small selection of slab-constructed sculptural objects created by Otto Natzler in the 1980s. A review of the Natzlers' joint careers and the evolution of their modernist-influenced oeuvre is augmented by previously unpublished excerpts from a 1980 interview with Otto Natzler.
