Documents more than 20 experimental videos and video-based installations produced from the early 1980s to 1992 by American artist Hill (b. 1951), many of the works combining fragmentary images of the human body with narration and textual elements inspired by or drawn from literary and philosophical writings. Excerpts from interviews with Hill and a text by the artist presented in the form of a dialogue augment three critical essays discussing his complex explorations of the interrelationship of language, image and sensory experience.
