Surveying the enigmatic oeuvre of prominent Italian Arte Povera artist Fabro (b. 1936), this catalogue presents full-page reproductions and descriptions of 58 diverse sculptural works which range from simple configurations of metal tubes created in the early 1960s to a series of mixed-media "maps" of Italy and recent allusive installations of stone fragments, industrial cables and other materials. Three concise essays and a selection of Fabro's theoretical writings are supplemented by a lengthy biographical chronology incorporating excerpts from critical texts and from interviews with the artist.
