Documenting the residential, public and commercial designs of Finnish architect Bryggman, a key figure along with Alvar Aalto in the development of the International Modern style in Finland, this catalogue presents four critical essays evaluating Bryggman's career and functionalist oeuvre, three reprinted theoretical texts by the architect, and detailed analyses of several of his most important projects, including the innovative exposition pavilions he designed in collaboration with Aalto for the 1929 Turku Fair and his best-known work, the Resurrection Chapel (1939-1941).
