Illuminates the character of Etruscan domestic culture through a presentation of 178 objects drawn principally from the Vatican's Museo Gregoriano Etrusco, including terra-cotta votive sculptures, fragments of architectural relief plaques, painted vases, bronze vessels, gold jewelry, cooking utensils, agricultural implements and other artifacts. Reproductions and informative descriptions of the exhibited works are accompanied by an introductory overview of Etruscan history and nine texts discussing such aspects of daily life as cooking and the banquet, agriculture, the raising of livestock and forms of housing.
