The first significant review of the diverse oeuvre of Hungarian-born artist Weininger (1899-1986), a major figure in the Bauhaus community in the 1920s whose works range from Constructivist watercolors and avant-garde theater sketches to furniture designs and geometric relief compositions. Reproductions of some 180 works produced throughout Weininger's career in Weimar, Berlin, Amsterdam and New York accompany the artist's lengthy description of his years at the Bauhaus and five essays discussing his life, his concept-based view of art and his activities as a designer.
