Providing an extensive history of Neapolitan art, architecture and performing arts of the postwar period, this substantial catalogue features reproductions of more than 300 paintings, sculptures and other works in a variety of predominantly abstract styles as well as illustrations documenting films, theater productions and notable building projects. Biographies of the 46 artists and ten architects represented in the exhibition (among them Carlo Alfano, Lucio del Pezzo and Gianni Pisani) accompany numerous detailed discussions of artistic and cultural developments in Naples from the 1940s to the 60s.
