Presents 20 paintings and some 90 preparatory sketches and studies of heads and torsos by Morandini (ca. 1544-1597), a late Mannerist artist whose works reflect the influence of his mentor Vasari as well as Pontormo and Rosso. Emphasizing questions of attribution, scholarly commentaries on many of the exhibited paintings and drawings supplement introductory discussions of the artist's career, his draughtsmanship, and his activities in Florence and Castiglion Fiorentino.
