Bertarelli, Milan. Published by Neri Pozza Editore s.r.l., Vicenza. 308 pp. with 358 ills. 24 x 20 cm. In Italian.
Provides a scholarly examination of the complete prints of Adamo Scultori (ca. 1530-87) and his sister Diana (ca. 1545-90), engravers active in Mantua and Rome especially noted for their numerous prints after works by Giulio Romano and his followers. Extensive technical and stylistic commentaries on more than 250 engravings (including works of uncertain attribution) are supplemented by a discussion of the artists in the context of 16th-century printmaking in Mantua and in relation to other prominent engravers of the period, including their father Giovanni Battista Scultori and Giorgio Ghisi.
