Documenting more than 400 drawings, prints and paintings, this catalogue surveys the work of Lithuanian-born Expressionist Segall, who became a leading figure in modern art in Brazil following his emigration from Germany in 1923. Dominated by portraits and depictions of the poor and outcast, Segall's oeuvre reflects in particular the influence of Grosz and Dix.
