This lavishly illustrated book documents an ambitious 2010 landscape intervention and performance event involving the "Polder Cup," a soccer tournament invented by Spanish artist Lopez (b. 1975), who painted soccer fields across polders (reclaimed marshes protected from flooding by dikes), ditches and dikes before initiating matches in which players were forced to negotiate endless new rules and tactics.
