Including excellent reproductions of the original color lithographs, this large-format volume chronicles the creation of Illustrations of the Nests and Eggs of Birds of Ohio (90 copies of which were published in Circleville, Ohio, in 1886), a project begun in 1877 by amateur naturalist and artist Genevieve Jones as a proposed companion volume to John James Audubon's The Birds of America and completed by her family seven years after her sudden death in 1879.
