This massive, oversized volume presents a complete facsimile edition and English translation of The Red Book, the monumental treatise on the human psyche that celebrated Swiss psychologist Carl Jung (1875-1961) created between 1914 and 1930, the publication featuring the scores of hand-painted illuminations that Jung produced to accompany his calligraphic text; includes a contextual essay and extensive annotations by noted Jung scholar Sonu Shamdasani. A related exhibition was mounted at New York's Rubin Museum of Art to coincide with the release of this book.
