Published in conjunction with an exhibition held at the Auburn University Montgomery Art Gallery during Christenberry's 2005 residency at the University but not specifically documenting the show, this volume presents a selection of sculptural objects, drawings and photographs produced chiefly since the 1980s by the prominent American artist (b. 1936), the works inspired by his many visits to the rural Black Belt region of central Alabama over the past four decades.
