ISBN-13: 978-0-88214-565-5 Presents an unusual conceptual project completed during 2001 and 2002 in which New York-based Austrian artist Ganahl (b. 1967) created a series of works to mark the last days of the Austrian 50 Schilling banknote (which bears a portrait of Sigmund Freud), each sheet featuring an actual banknote, a typewritten description of one of the artist's dreams, a record of the banknote's value in various international currencies on the day the work was created, the number of Freud-related items identified that day through searches of on-line booksellers' Web sites, and the artist's own handwritten notes and doodles along the edges of the work.
